Open Figma links from Slack in the Figma app
A Figma link shared in Slack opens in the browser, and you have to click through to get to the app. Alpaca is a free Slack bot that notices Figma links in your channels and direct messages and replies with a link that opens the design files and prototypes straight in the Figma desktop app, bypassing the browser.
How it works
Someone posts a Figma link in Slack:
https://www.figma.com/file/Ab12Cd34Ef56/Landing-PageAlpaca replies with:figma://file/Ab12Cd34Ef56/Landing-PageClick the reply (if your workspace allows it) or copy it to the clipboard and paste it into the address bar: the Figma desktop app opens directly. The Figma app must be installed on your computer.
